Second Opinion Procedure

At Elmacı Neurosurgery Institute, we understand the importance of making informed decisions regarding your health and treatment options. Our second opinion service is designed to provide comprehensive and expert opinions on your diagnosis and treatment plan. Below is the second opinion application procedure:

1. Gather Patient Information: Collect all relevant medical records related to the patient’s neurological condition. This should include radiological imaging studies, test results, the patient’s medical history, a video showing their general condition if necessary, and any other pertinent documents. All information is essential for a proper evaluation.

2. Contact Us: To initiate the referral process, you can contact ENI via WhatsApp (+90 539 829 45 01) or email (info@ilhanelmaci.com.tr). It is important to share the patient’s details, medical history, and any specific requests you may have.

3. Send Medical Records: Send the patient’s medical records securely to our clinic. Electronic copies can usually be sent via WeTransfer (stated below)or secure email.

SENDING FILES WITH WETRANSFER

    • Go to wetransfer.com
    • Click on the +Add your files button. Select the file you want to send or drag it into the designated area to start uploading.
    • Enter info@ilhanelmaci.com.tr in the “Email to” field for the recipient’s email address.
    • Enter your email address in the specified field and add the patient’s name and surname in the subject line.
    • Add whatever you want to add to the message section.
    • After making any necessary edits, click the TRANSFER button at the bottom.
    • Keep your screen open until the file transfer is complete.

Note: Radiological examinations must be sent in DICOM format.

4. Schedule an Appointment: Our staff will promptly assist in scheduling a consultation appointment for the patient. Our goal is to evaluate your referral as quickly as possible, ensuring timely access to our services.

5. Follow-Up and Feedback: After the patient’s consultation or treatment at Elmacı Neurosurgery Clinic, we will provide feedback regarding the patient’s condition. If needed, we will address any new questions that arise during the patient’s treatment process.
